Monel alloy, also known as nickel alloy, is a metal nickel matrix with the addition of copper, iron, manganese and other elements of the alloy. Monel alloy has good corrosion resistance and silver-white color, suitable for edge silk material. Monel alloy can be divided into monel 400 alloy tube and monel K500 alloy.

Monel alloys for use

Monel 400 alloy has high strength monophase solid solution and monophase austenitic structure. This alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid and fluorogas medium, and also has excellent corrosion resistance to hot concentrated lye. It is also resistant to corrosion of neutral solution, water, seawater, atmosphere and organic compounds. An important characteristic of this alloy is that it generally does not produce stress corrosion crack and has good cutting performance. The alloy is mainly used for valve stem, pump shaft and impeller, scraper conveyor, oil well drilling ring, elastic parts, valve pad and so on.
