Monel K500 (K500, ncu30-2-1, UNS N05500) alloys have the same corrosion resistance as monel 400 in addition to excellent mechanical properties such as high strength, corrosion resistance, non-magnetic, etc. It can be used as pump shaft material, suitable for severe geological mining conditions with high sulfur and high wax. Because the alloy has no plastic-brittle transition temperature, it is very suitable for all kinds of cryogenic equipment. The monel 500 alloy tube has excellent corrosion resistance and higher strength and hardness than the monel 400. This is because Al, Ti and other elements are added to the alloy, and after a certain heat treatment, there are dispersed intermetallic compounds on the matrix. The structure is monophasic austenite and precipitated by dispersed Ni3 (Al, Ti) precipitates.
